Welcome to the CodedArena Challenge!

Welcome to the CodedArena Challenge!

We are delighted to present CodedArena's new initiative to encourage young people to learn programming. A series of academic challenges related to different curricular learning areas that will help students work in teams, make progress in different subjects, cooperate with their teachers and classmates, as well as enjoy Python programming in a fun way with the CodedArena videogame.

That's why today we are launching the CodedArena Challenge, an educational competition that will pit teams of three or four students from different schools against each other, even at an international level!

But... What is the CodedArena Challenge?

As we explained earlier, it is a competition for groups of students aged between 14 and 16 years old, in which they will have to solve different challenges, all based on subjects taught at school, always using programming.

These basic concepts from the Python language will be learned by completing a series of CodedArena missions where, while they discover the videogame's story, they will learn programming using real code.

Each of these teams will always have what we call a mentor, that is, a person assigned by the school who will be responsible and in charge of helping and supporting the group of boys and girls.

CodedArena Challenge publishes its first challenge today. And, until Monday, May 10th, a total of 7 challenges will be published. Schools and their teams will be able to join at any time during the competition as long as:

  • The solved challenges have been submitted by Friday, May 28 at 23:59 hours.
  • Team members have completed mission 24 in CodedArena by Monday, May 17 at 18:00 CET. in order to unlock the multiplayer competitions so they can take part in the final phase of the CodedArena Challenge.

Therefore, we encourage that teams join before May 1st, so that both the school and the students and teachers have enough time to solve the challenges at an enjoyable pace.

Claim victory!

And, after all of this, you may be wondering: how can we win the first edition of the CodedArena Challenge? To be the winner, the teams who participate in these challenges must:

Successfully complete as many of the 7 academic challenges as they can.

Reach the best possible position in the Challenge Tournament, a tournament that will be played within the multiplayer mode in the CodedArena platform. Throughout this second phase of the championship, participants will program the code of their characters and will face their rivals, climbing positions in the ranking with each victory.

And, as we said earlier, completing the Academic Challenges goes hand in hand with learning how to code. That's why, to learn programming in a more dynamic way, students will be able to complete missions in CodedArena's adventure mode. In each Academic Challenge, the number of CodedArena's missions and the programming knowledge needed to succeed will be specified.

We will be pleased to answer any of your doubts, questions and suggestions at our e-mail address: challenge@codedarena.com or on our website, where you will find the registration form. We hope that you will join us in this exciting adventure, let's get started!
